According to the latest information, God of War: Ragnarok, which will be released in 2022, will be a long title.
David Jaffe revealed the latest info on Youtube that the new God of War will last nearly forty hours. This information could be pretty credible as David is a former designer of the God of War series.
“I hear from people who should know that the game is about 40 hours long.” “They’re aiming for 40 hours of gameplay. Currently, I don’t know if it’s a 100% platinum trophy or an average time to go. Is it guaranteed? Not. Some things are removed and others added. But what can I say is that they are targeting 40 hours of gameplay for the new God of War.”

Forty hours of gameplay is an impressive feat. However, it is not known whether it concerns average playtime or 100% completion. According to the website How Long to Beat, which tracks the lengths of various games, 2018’s God of War title averaged 26,5 hours (21h – storyline, full completion – 32h).
Fortunately, fans don’t need to wait for more information as the Playstation Showcase gala is approaching. We should find out precisely what Sony has been working on, as one of the games presented is God of War: Ragnarok. We are looking forward to the official news from the developers.
